Pointers to Papers and Home Pages
In no particular order the following list points to relevant resources
regarding splines and subdivision surfaces
- Joe Warren's home
page, which has links to his papers;
-
The Grail home page at UW has tons of pointers. So does the
home page of
Tony DeRose;
- Lots of spline papers live on the home page of the Graphics
Group at the University of Erlangen, including some good
introductory materials;
- Amos Ron's
home page has some pointers to scaling function papers;
- Carl de Boor's page
has more spline stuff than you can shake a stick at;
-
Jörg Peters' home page has pointers to online versions
of all his papers;
-
Hugues Hoppe has done some great work with surfaces;
- Marian Neamtu
has done a lot of work with splines and approximation theory;
- Larry
Schumaker also has lots of spline and approximation theory
contributions;
- David Donoho
has done some very deep work on understanding refinable
functions and the smoothness spaces they span.
There are also many papers which I have snarfed and which you can get
locally by rummaging through a directory (if
you go into these directories, be sure to push the reload button or
you won't get complete listings [some kind of netscape bug I
presume]).
A cool gallery of Catmull-Clark
subdivision surfaces was put together by Mark Duchaineau.
