My acting experience


Once upon a time I acted in several plays with TACIT, the Caltech Theater Arts program, as well as being the assistant director in one play. I haven't done any acting for a while owing to time constraints, but I'd like to do more in the future. Of the plays I've been in, here are my favorites:

K2, by Patrick Meyers

This was my first real acting experience. It was directed by Shirley Marneus and starred Phillip Rodriguez as Taylor and me as Harold (and nobody else!). Here is a scan of the original poster (click to enlarge):

Inherit the Wind, by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee

This famous play is a fictionalized retelling of the famous "Scopes Monkey Trial" of the 1920s, where a schoolteacher was put on trial for teaching his class about the theory of evolution. I played the part of Bert Cates, the schoolteacher. The play was directed by Chris Springfield. Here is a scan of the original poster (click to enlarge):
